It would be a bleak life without volunteers. The streets quiet and the arena empty. Houses burning and trails in disrepair. The food bank closed and the Friends’ store too. Artifacts piled up and the town’s kids with nothing to do.

Despite our relatively small size, Jasper is a town where a lot gets done—and that is largely thanks to the hundreds of people who donate thousands of hours of their time each year. National Volunteer Week runs from April 12-18 this year.

Multisports Canada has opened registration for its inaugural Jasper Gran Fondo and Jasper Triathlon. The events are scheduled for June 13 and 14, respectively, and have been tailored to attract athletes of all skill levels.
