Canada Day festivities included a pancake breakfast, a flag raising ceremony, Canada Day cake, a parade and musical performances in the late afternoon.

The Group of Seven exhibit will be on display until the fall.

National Indigenous Peoples Day recognizes and celebrates the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada.

"Russ began carving wildfowl almost three decades ago and since then has been a student of creating three-dimensional wood carvings of these beautiful creatures."

The days honours the legacy and the bravery of many Filipinos who fought and sacrificed their lives for the freedom and liberation of the Philippines from more than 300 years of Spanish colonization.

The “Cities of Colour II” exhibition runs at the Jasper Art Gallery until June 15.

The three crosswalks were each adorned with a symbol of LGBTQ2+ pride: the traditional Rainbow Pride Flag, the Transgender Pride Flag and the Progressive Pride Flag.
