Members of the Jasper Ski Team competed in the 12th annual Doug Meyer Invitational Ski Race hosted by the Lake Louise Ski Club, March 28 and 29.

Jasper sent a field of 29 athletes, ranging from six to 11 years of age, to this coveted event that included 14 clubs and 387 athletes. Throughout the weekend, Jasper skiers had many top 10 finishes and personal bests. Out of the 14 clubs entered, the team finished in fourth place in the dual slalom.

On April 4, the Jasper skiers completed their competitive season in Panorama at the Linda Putnam Memorial Ski Race.

Ski team members raced eight consecutive runs on very icy conditions, and finished third overall in the team event.

This has been a very successful season for the U12 and Nancy Green groups. There were many personal bests, top 10 finishes and team victories.

It should also be noted that the following skiers reached the podium for their very first time this year: Skylar Shepard (silver), Brynn Noble (bronze), Tristan Erb-Beauchamp (bronze) and Jesse Kertesz-Knight (silver and bronze).
