Dear Editor, In an article published in the Sept. 22 edition of the Fitzhugh I pointed out that organized volunteer groups can be part of the solution, I’d like to expand on this idea. Volunteer groups do not take away jobs.

Dear editor, In August of this year the town and county of Barrhead celebrated the 25th year of twinning with our friends from Kitami City/Tokoro Town, Hokkaido, Japan.
