KAPALUA, Hawaii (AP) — Nearly a year after Chris Kirk made it all the way back by winning, he took another big step Sunday with a clutch 5-iron to two feet for birdie on the 17th hole that led to an 8-under 65 and a one-shot victory in The Sentry.

CALGARY — Former punter Burke Dales, who helped the Calgary Stampeders win the 2008 Grey Cup, has died. He was 46. The Stampeders confirmed Dales' death on Sunday. The cause was not revealed. Dales was a native of Collingwood, Ont.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Mike Levin and Owen Flores proved to be too much for the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday. Levin scored twice while Flores stopped 36 shots to lead the Niagara IceDogs past the Spitfires 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks signed veteran American quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson on Sunday. The move wasn't a surprise as word surfaced Friday that Bethel-Thompson had agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Edmonton.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Vincent Collard scored two goals and added an assist as the Moncton Wildcats scored four third-period goals beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 6-2 in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Sunday.

ZUG, Switzerland — Abby Stonehouse's record-setting performance kept Canada unbeaten at the world women's under-18 hockey championship. Stonehouse scored two short-handed goals and added three assists to lead Canada past Czechia 8-1 on Sunday.

CHICAGO (AP) — Colin Blackwell had two goals and an assist and the Chicago Blackhawks won their first game since Connor Bedard was sidelined by a broken jaw, topping the Calgary Flames 4-3 on Sunday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — John Carlson scored the game-winner with 53 seconds left in regulation, and the Washington Capitals beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 on Sunday.
