Marmot Basin is open for another month. Vice president Brian Rode and Kirsten Leblanc, group sales supervisor, invited folks to check out the new terrain, which opened March 9.

Warmer weather means ticks are getting active

With the warmer temperatures of spring, ticks are becoming active. Dr. Janet Jones, owner of the Jasper Veterinary Clinic, said it’s integral to check your pets - and yourself - daily for ticks.

Mountaineer to climb Everest three years after severe heart attack

Experienced mountaineer Leonardo Namen is planning to summit Mount Everest in May. Namen had a severe heart attack in April 2018 and has built up his strength to the level of being able to attempt the 8,849-metre summit, the highest in the world.
