United Nurses of Alberta (UNA) signed a tentative agreement on Mar. 10, on a contract for more than 33,000 Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) employed by AHS, Recovery Alberta, Primary Care Alberta, Covenant Health, Lamont Health Care Centre, and the Bethany Group (Camrose). 

Demand continues to be high at the food bank, which sees anywhere from 65 to 75 households per week.

This summer, Jasper will have 70 per cent of its frontcountry camping available to the public, and some campsites will have longer operational seasons for more camping opportunities.

The Municipality of Jasper will receive over $1.8 million to establish the pop-up business village and deliver construction related initiatives, while Tourism Jasper will receive $250,000 to enhance and promote visitor experiences.

Some Jasper tenants are reportedly facing rent increases of nearly 50 per cent amid a housing crisis exacerbated by the last summer’s wildfire.
