An inmate died while in custody at Grande Cache Institution on Jan. 5.
Correctional Service Canada says the inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
Since April 19, 2021, Maxime Boucher had been serving a time for attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, use of firearm, assault and other offences.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
Correctional Service Canada says it will review the circumstances, as in all cases involving the death of an inmate.
Grande Cache Institution is located around 200 kilometres north of Jasper.
