On Nov. 13, 2023, Hinton RCMP received a report that a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck had been stolen between Nov, 12, 2023 at 8:30 P.M. and Nov. 13, 2023, at 9:45 A.M. The vehicle is a Grey 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 with Alberta licence plate CJP4394.

Two 14-year-old males have died following a single-vehicle collision that occurred southwest of Hinton last Friday. Hinton RCMP responded to the collision on Brule Road, west of Range Road 262.

Hinton RCMP has received reports of possible trafficking of foreign workers in the area.

Hinton RCMP received a report on Sept. 21 that a GMC Sierra Crew Cab had been stolen at approximately 4:30 a.m. from the parking lot of 595 Gregg Ave, Hinton, Twin Pine Hotel. The vehicle is a 2023 GMC Sierra Crew Cab with B.C. license plate VF3369.

Hinton RCMP has been receiving an increased number of complaints regarding asphalt-paving company scams in the area. The public have been reporting that out-of-town companies, claiming to be pavers, are offering their services at an inexpensive rate.

At 9:49 a.m., Grande Cache RCMP, along with Hinton RCMP, EMS, and Grande Cache Fire Department, responded to a report of a helicopter crash. RCMP arrived and secured the scene.
