If Jasper isn’t already famous for its breathtaking landscapes, it’s now on its way to becoming a full-blown reality TV star. Lately, the community has been teeming with film crews intrigued by our Rocky Mountain town and the people who call it home.

It would be a bleak life without volunteers. The streets quiet and the arena empty. Houses burning and trails in disrepair. The food bank closed and the Friends’ store too. Artifacts piled up and the town’s kids with nothing to do.

Twenty-one months ago I crammed my whole life into my Honda Civic and made a beeline across the country to start work at the Jasper Fitzhugh. At the time I knew almost nothing about the place that I would come to cherish so much.

Looking for a summer job? Jasper’s got plenty. In fact, if businesses haven’t already started, very shortly they’ll be looking to hire the perfect employees to dote on the park’s summer visitors.
