Dear Editor, I was quite impressed by the recent article in the Fitzhugh regarding the excellent services provided by Jasper’s Community and Family Services. I was amazed at the scope of services provided by the outreach workers.

'Allow Piglet to stay'

Dear Editor, I have met Lynda Knight’s Piglet. There is nothing offensive about her. She undoubtedly makes little to no impact on the daily functioning of life here in Jasper National Park. Certainly she impacts the park far less than a cat or a dog.

Protect Maligne Lake for future generations

Dear Editor, In 1908 Mary Schaffer described Maligne Lake and its surrounding peaks as “the finest view any of us had ever beheld in the Canadian Rockies.” Since then it has become far more than a view.

With Labour Day long weekend behind us, we can collectively breathe a sigh of relief. Another summer has come and gone, and now Jasperites can finally exit their hiding places and repatriate our beloved streets.

Waiting for paving

The municipality has three valid petitions from neighbourhoods willing to pay to have their alleyways paved. The most recent was submitted this month, while the rest are from as far back as three or four years ago.
