Thank you to those who participated in Food for Fines and submitted recipes for the Community Cookbook. Did you miss the cookbook deadline?  Never fear. Recipes can still be sent to the library all year round. The cookbook itself will be a binder loanable from the library and can constantly be added to.

March is Francophonie Month. Watch for displays at the library and check out our French sections. We have French adult, young adult, juvenile, picture book, audio book and DVD options. We also have many French items on our eResources like Pressreader and Libby. Don’t forget to check those out as well. Venez voir nos collections de livres et de films pour tous les âges.

eResources include streaming and downloadable books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and more. You can see the complete list on our website (https://jasperlibrary.ab.ca) under eResources. You will need a library card to sign in. Need some help? Give us a call or drop by and we’ll give you a hand.

Staff changes have happened within the library. Give a warm welcome back to library clerk Monique, bibliographic services clerk Traudi and library programmer Holly next time you come through the library.

A huge warm welcome and thank you to our Writer-in-Residence Paulette Blanchette-Dubé. Thanks to the Canada Council for the Arts and the Jasper Friends of the Library Society, we will have Paulette working with us until the end of April. She is currently mentoring local writers. If you would like to have a mentoring session with Paulette, please contact the library at 780-852-3652 or [email protected]. Keep an eye out for events and programs that the library and Paulette are working on.

As public health measures change, we will post those changes at the entrance of the library as well as on our social media accounts. There will be a transition period once changes are announced. We appreciate your patience and kindness as we all adapt.
