The second Jasper Beer and Barley Summit at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge was on paper a “unique sampling extravaganza, featuring breweries and distilleries from around the world, alongside delicious food prepared by the amazing Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge chefs.”
The grub included fish and chips to die for, hand-carved pork, salads, nachos and a dessert station to haunt the most devout chocoholic. Jasper Brewing Co. and Folding Mountain Brewery joined brewers like Godspeed, Legend Seven Brewing, Firestone Walker, Central City, Terrapin Brewing, the Olds brew college, Village Brewing, Park Brewing and Lagunitas in handing out samples to the 400 or so guests JPL expected to pass through on each of the two nights Feb. 1-2. | C.
