The Municipality of Jasper is implementing health restrictions for some facilities, while partaking in the Restriction Exemption Program for others.
Starting Sept. 21, the exemption program will be in place at the Activity Centre.
All public access will take place through the north doors, which is the Bonhomme Street side.
Users will have to check in at the front desk upon entry and provide proof of vaccination, medical exemption or negative COVID test as per provincial guidelines.
All users who provide proofs as described above will be entered into a weekly draw for a 10-punch pass for recreation facilities.
The exemption program will also apply to the Fitness and Aquatic Centre starting Sept. 20.
Because Wildflowers Childcare and Out of School Care has to be accessed for daily living, this service is not subject to the exemption program.
Starting Sept. 20, the Jasper Municipal Library will have a capacity of 25 and require physical distancing and masking.
Attendees must be with household members only, or two close contacts if they live alone.
The library will also implement the exemption program with a start date yet to be announced, but other organizations within the library and cultural centre building will decide for themselves whether to participate or not.
The administration office will not implement the exemption program but will require masking, physical distancing and hand sanitizing.
Community Outreach Services is transitioning to online and by appointment, and it won’t participate in the program and will keep its office closed to the public, but there is a door bell for urgent needs.
