It seems that Hollywood is starting to catch up with a few of the box office movies that were made in 2020. Wonder Woman 1984 is one of those movies that finally made it to the general public. I remember the hype surrounding this project and wondered if the movie was worth my time. A film that takes two hours and 30 minutes calls for a certain investment on the viewers part.
The MacGuffin device is an ancient artifact that grants wishes is discovered and chaos starts to reign. Individual desires start out initially as harmless and then progress to a level that is beyond control. You can imagine how the film would escalate with no one to stop the inevitable. This is where Wonder Woman enters the picture because the world needs a superhero to save the day.
Gal Gadot truly demonstrates why Hollywood picked her to be Wonder Woman. I remember when Gadot first entered the spotlight with Fast and Furious in 2009. She has really lived up to the famous line, “Ride or die.” The fact that Gal Gadot performs her own stunts is why her Wonder Woman persona is so spot on.
I know you are wondering if the movie was worth my time. The answer is yes. I enjoyed my two hours and thirty minutes. Who does not like a superhero movie based on a comic book?
