Hocus Pocus is a movie that is starting to be one that is watched by viewers so they can get into the Halloween spirit.
You could say it is the counter version of, It’s A Wonderful Life when you are lacking the holiday spirit. I now watch Hocus Pocus every year before Halloween along with millions of others.
The movie is probably one of the best Halloween comedies ever produced. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Njimy play three diabolical witches so well the audience cannot get enough of their characters. The physical comedy between all three actresses is timed to perfection. Each actress brings something special to their character and the results are hilarious. The rest of the cast had to work hard not to be upstaged by these talented ladies.
The humour throughout the film is very subtle and everytime I watch the Hocus Pocus I pick up something I missed previously. The great script and the fantastic performances make this a movie that I will enjoy for years to come.
