Jasper bottle kids make bank

Layered up and keen to make a few bucks, Jasper’s 2020 grad class swept the town for recyclables on Sunday for the annual Grad Bottle Drive.

Layered up and keen to make a few bucks, Jasper’s 2020 grad class swept the town for recyclables on Sunday for the annual Grad Bottle Drive.

Teams of students and parents collected bottles, cans and cartons from homes and businesses in Jasper while others stayed behind at the depot to sort the loot.

And it was another successful year for the grads with a grand total of $2,800 raised.

That money will go towards the volunteers’ grad dinner at JPL.

Colleen Chalifoux, grad mom and parent organizer of this year’s drive, said: “I am really thrilled - and grateful to the students and parents and everybody that contributed.”
