Edson RCMP arrested a female for being in possession of a stolen pick-up truck after police learned of the truck's location through its GPS system.

On March 4, police received a report at about 2 a.m. of a stolen pickup from a business located around 50th Street and 1st Ave in Edson.

A short time later, police were notified of the truck's location from the on-board GPS system and attended the location in Peers where the suspect was arrested.

The suspect was also in possession of stolen property.

Emily Keaveny, 22, of no fixed address has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and theft over $5,000.

Keaveny was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court on May 3.
