SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Police in Saint John, N.B., are looking for three suspects after a 20-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle this morning in the commercial, uptown area of the city.

Police say they responded to a report of shots fired at 10:28 a.m. and found a man's body in a vehicle.

The shooting led police to lock down schools in the area around King's Square and issue a shelter-in-place order to nearby residents.

They say three male suspects were seen leaving the area on foot, and that no arrests have been made so far.

Police issued an Alert Ready notification describing the suspects as a white male with brown hair and wearing a dark jacket; a white male with dark clothing, and a Black male wearing a light blue hoody with dark pants.

They say the lockdown order has been lifted for a high school but remains for other schools, while the shelter-in-place order is still in effect.
