Beginning on May 23, Parks Canada is resuming road reconstruction work to improve visitor safety along Pyramid Lake Road.
What to Expect:
- Motorists can expect to encounter single-lane alternating traffic during work hours and occasional delays of up to 20 minutes.
- Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., up to seven days a week.
- No work will occur on long weekends (from 7 p.m. on the Thursday before the long weekend until 7 a.m. on the Tuesday after the long weekend).
- Work is expected to continue until August 2018, weather-permitting.
This work is part of the unprecedented $3 billion investment over 5 years to support Parks Canada’s infrastructure work to heritage, tourism, waterway, and highway assets located within national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas across Canada.
