Parks Canada is upgrading this trail as part of a rehabilitation project to improve infrastructure and enhance the visitor experience. This work is part of the unprecedented $3 billion investment over 5 years to support Parks Canada’s infrastructure work to heritage, tourism, waterway, and highway assets located within national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas across Canada.
What to expect:
- Visitors will continue to have access to the Maligne Lake Boathouse.
- Signage will be in place to identify the closed area.
- Alternative trails with a similar hiking experience include the Moose Lake Loop (#20) and the Lake Annette Trail (#4d).
- Work is expected to continue until the end of June 2018.
The safety of visitors and workers is Parks Canada’s top priority. Please exercise caution and respect all on-site signage and closures.
