A 21-year-old female from Devon has died after an all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) rollover in the Brule sand dune area near Hinton.
On May 21 at 5 p.m., Hinton RCMP stated in a release that they received the call and subsequently attended the scene, along with emergency medical services.
The female, whose name was not disclosed, was taken to the hospital by members of the public for treatment but was later declared deceased at hospital.
The RCMP’s preliminary investigation indicates that the female was operating the ATV down a large incline and lost control, rolling the ATV.
Police do not anticipate further updates.
Clarification: The woman was taken by members of the public, not EMS, to hospital.
