A two-vehicle collision on 50th Avenue in Niton Junction of Yellowhead County resulted in a large fuel spill early in the evening on Dec. 19.
A semi truck and trailer had collided with a second semi truck and trailer hauling fuel.
Due to the hazardous conditions of the resulting fuel spill, a precautionary evacuation of the area was completed with the assistance of Edson RCMP and area Fire Services.
The collision also impacted the east and westbound lanes of Highway 16, and traffic was rerouted for an extended period.
No injuries were reported related to this collision.
