HINTON – A controversial development proposed for a portion of Town-owned lands at the Hinton Golf Course is no longer moving forward.
In March 2022, the Town of Hinton entered a purchase agreement with PAR999 Holdings Inc. for a portion of Town-owned lands to construct a hospitality development.
As of July 2025, terms in the purchase agreement have expired, meaning the land sale will not be completed, and the Town retains ownership of the subject golf course lands.
Town spokesperson Natasha Buck said in an email that no further information could be shared at this time due to contract confidentiality.
The proposed Bliss Hotels and Resorts project would have been built adjacent to the Hinton Golf Club.
The multi-phased development was described as a privately operated, integrated experiential learning hotel and luxury resort development with a convention centre plus retail and food and beverage offerings.
The project received pushback over its potential impact on the golf course.
PAR999 Holdings Inc. did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
