Jasper was decked out in rainbows last weekend, to celebrate the sixth annual Jasper Pride Weekend.
Nearly 30 businesses participated in the Jasper Pride Festival Society’s window decorating contest, creating a sea of rainbows up and down Connaught Drive and Patricia Street.
The windows were judged by four out-of-town judges from as far away as Portland, Ore. and St. John’s, Nfld.
The judges each rated the windows independently, being sure not to peek at their neighbour’s scoresheets, and when all was said and done, the results were tallied up by a member of the pride society and announced at the Wicked White
Winter gala at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
ATB Financial took the top spot with its colourful money-inspired window and was closely followed by Wicked Cup in second and the Jasper Brewing Company in third.
The businesses were judged on innovation, colour, philanthropy and community spirit.
The judge's honourable mentions were Coco's Cafe, TD Bank and Jasper Rock and Jade.
