When Jasper’s youngsters arrived at school, June 4, it looked like the circus had come to town.
Scattered around the bike racks at the Jasper Elementary School were all kinds of quirky vehicles. There was everything from trains made out of strung together wagons, to skateboards with shoes duct taped to the deck.
This wasn’t a typical day at the school, rather it was Wacky Walking Wednesday—an event organized during Environment Week each year, to encourage students to come up with creative, environmentally friendly ways to get to school.
