This past weekend five swimmers from the Jasper Red Fins travelled to Devon to compete in the annual Freeze or Fry swim competition.
This year the outdoor competition fell under the fry category, with temperatures reaching 31 C. Despite the heat, all of the swimmers did really well, and beat many of their personal times.
Among the swimmers, Emma Glover placed second overall in the 400m freestyle; Isabelle Glover placed first, second, third and fourth in her swims. As well, the relay team—Mikaela Robinson, Emma Glover, Isabelle Glover and Rebecca Glover—placed second and third in their 200m freestyle relay and their 200m IM relay.
The swimmers are all excited to compete in their last swim meet of the season before regionals this Saturday in St. Albert.
