Students from École Desrochers visited Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge, Dec. 7, to deliver ornaments to residents and to help them decorate the lodge in time for the holidays.
The Grade 2 and 3 students were tasked with decorating “the bow tree” in the cafeteria, adhering Christmas bows of all different shapes, colours and sizes to the tree’s branches. The students were joined by a few seniors who helped fill up the tree and chatted with the kids as they enjoyed a treat.
The afternoon of decorating was part of a program that sees students from both École Desrochers and Jasper Junior/Senior High School visit the lodge to create intergenerational relationships with the community’s seniors.
