Spirits were high as students from Jasper Junior/Senior High School put down their books and took part in the school’s annual activity day Sept. 11.

Organized into 12 groups, each team was assigned a month of the year and dressed up accordingly in a display of team spirit.

Throughout the afternoon, students participated in six activities on a rotating basis from a quick game of pick-up hockey to a game of volleyball with a massive blow up ball.

“Today is really just about bonding as a school community and students having fun,” said Mark Crozier, the school’s principal.

In addition to building school spirit, it was also a chance for students to meet three new staff members and vice versa.

“The three new people that are teaching here are from diverse backgrounds and exciting places. They’re going to bring variety to our staff and keep us well rounded,” said Crozier.
