After last week’s dump of snow, skiers and boarders were chomping at the bit, waiting for Marmot Basin to open Nov. 14. Opening day saw the diehards—including Jasper the Bear—show up for first chair on Friday morning and stay well into the afternoon.
The hill opened with just a few runs, but progressively more and more are opening up—including areas in the upper mountain, which welcomed the first skiers of the season Wednesday morning.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the great news is that snow is in the forecast, meaning even more terrain is sure to come.
