Although the skies were gray and the rain was falling, nearly 30 eager yogis showed up to the season’s first Yoga in the Park session, June 4.
The group sprawled its mats across the Visitor Information Centre lawn and followed the lead of instructor Alisen Charlten, and as the rain picked up and she asked whether she should pack it in, the group gave no signs of giving up.
This is the second season for Yoga in the Park. It began last year and was a resounding success, so Charlten and her fellow yoga instructor Andrea Watson have picked it up again this year, offering the sessions free of charge every Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and to bring their friends.
