The Jasper Red Fins sent seven swimmers to Whitecourt earlier this month for the team’s first swim meet of the season.

Among those swimming, Colten Thomas and Turi Duhamel brought home bronze medals and the girls freestyle relay team—Rebecca, Emma and Isabelle Glover and Mistaya Duhamel—brought home gold, even with a 10-year-old on the team.

The kids swam again in Drayton Valley last weekend.

Among the swimmers, Hope Deagle placed third in her 100 m backcrawl, Teslyn Pfisterer placed third in her 100 m breaststroke, and Mikyla Sherlow placed first in both her 50 m back and 50 m frontcrawl.

Both relay teams also placed in the top three, with the 200 m Individual Medley team—Keely Ralf, Teslyn Pfisterer, Sophie Pfisterer and Emma Glover—placing third overall, and the 200 m Freestyle Relay team—Hope Deagle, Emma Glover, Isabelle Glover and Mikyla Sherlow—placing first overall.
