A steady stream of people visited Marmot Meadows over the weekend to partake in some family fun.
On tap for Family Day Weekend was a range of activities from ice skating to cooking bannock on an open fire.
On Saturday, Parks Canada teamed up with Freewheel Cycle to offer free fat bike demos and on Sunday Wild Current Outfitters showed people how to cook on an open fire and on a backcountry campstove.
A Parks interpreter was also on hand throughout the weekend and into Monday and offered adventure seekers an opportunity to try snowshoeing under Jasper’s dark sky.
This is the first winter Parks has offered activities at Marmot Meadows, which it has dubbed a “winter hub.”
