The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum and Archives is ready for a visit from Santa, with dozens of beautifully decorated trees filling the Showcase Gallery.
The trees, both large and small, were decorated by individuals, organizations and businesses and donated to the museum for the annual Festival of Trees silent auction fundraiser.
The trees came from a variety of sources, everyone from the Alberta Treasury Board to the Tuesday Hiking Club and the Tonquin Valley Quilters Guild.
The auction has begun and will continue through to Saturday, Dec. 20, when the highest bidders take their trees home for the holidays.
To celebrate the season and the fabulous trees, there will be a wine and cheese event Thursday, Dec. 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
