Dear Editor,
What a delight it was to watch the skiers and snowboarders sliding on the newly created piles of snow during the wonderful Jasper in January street festival. Such a fabulous addition: a winter playground right in the middle of town.
I am less delighted now to see barriers blocking the hills of snow. What a joy it would be to hear the laughter of children, young and old, frolicking there. Instead we see an ugly wire fence.
For the love of winter, let’s embrace it, and play.
