The Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge held its annual Christmas Craft Fair Dec. 6, inviting the community in for an afternoon of holiday cheer.
As Christmas songs rang through the lodge, residents doled out festive sweets, crafts and decorations to Jasperites eager for holiday goodies.
This year the seniors’ famous Christmas cookies were once again on sale, flying off the trays so fast the vendors could hardly keep up with the demand.
Along with a 50/50 draw and silent auction, the fair also gave anyone interested a chance to sit with Santa.
Santa Claus was at the fair all day, happily giving his knee to anyone with some last-minute Christmas wishes to relate, or who just wanted to pose for a picture.
Between the cookie walk and visits with Santa, the seniors raised about $1,800, which will go to the lodge's activity fund.
