After a quick dance party, Jasper’s youngsters celebrated winter, Feb. 27, in the annual Carnaval d’ hiver at Centennial Park.
The celebration, mirrored after the famous Carnaval de Québec in Quebec City, had students from Jasper Elementary School and École Desrochers rolling around in the snow with laughter, as they jumped in potato sacks, pulled each other in sleds, played sumo wrestlers with exercise balls and tested their aim with a bean bag toss.
The two-day event is an annual collaboration between the two schools.
