Lex Switzer of the Whistle Stop Bongs, pictured on the left, built a table out of hockey sticks and raffled it off on behalf of the team, raising $1,000. The Bongs then donated the funds to the two women’s hockey teams in town—the Rustlers and the Barley Queens—giving each team $500. The winning raffle ticket was pulled June 5, and the recepient of the “ultimate man cave table” was Scott Sherlow. That evening, Lex and his teammate Jeff Smith also presented the ladies with their cheques.
