Jasper’s slo-pitch dynasty remains in tact, with the Barley Kings coming out on top for the third season in a row and the fifth time in six years.
In an exciting game of ball, the Kings overcame the Royals with a final score of 24-12, Sept. 14, ending the Jasper Mixed Slo-Pitch season as reigning champions.
Up until the ninth inning, the Royals kept the game close, trailing only by a few runs. But, when the Kings went up to bat for the last time, they brought out their big hitters and racked up some additional runs, putting the team out of reach.
