Jasper downhill biker Brandon Indic finished fourth in the Junior Expert group at the Alberta Cup circuit provincials in Blairmore, AB on the weekend, and finished first overall in Alberta for fastest rider in his age group.
Indic won the most races in the year for the Alberta Cup circuit to earn the fastest rider title, but said he crashed four times riding in the rain on the weekend.
Due to the trail conditions and rain no trial runs were allowed. During the race five people were injured and dropped out in the first 25 minutes including a broken leg and wrist, and some people who had travelled to compete chose not to race at all.
Indic is heading to Whistler this weekend to race at the Crankworx Festival, one of the biggest mountain bike competitions in the world. |
