Her teammates will be making turns and battling for podium positions at Marmot Basin this week, but Emma Carroll will not be joining the Jasper K2 representatives at the Western Canadian championships. Carroll, the team’s leading skier this season is in Quebec this week for the national championships for her age category.

The races are taking place at Mont Tremblant, north of Quebec City, all week long. The competition wraps up on Friday, but Carroll will not be back in time to join Jasper skiers Ben Ritter and Ian Towers, who will be competing in the local event. Another local skier, Autumn Gauthier, has been named as an alternate for the Western Canadian competition.
