MS fundraiser at Saturday’s Wolves hockey game

The Rockhoppers 2009 MS bike tour team may need to knock out some walls as well, amid plans to fill the Jasper Arena with fans as part of its Raise the Roof for MS fundraiser.

The team has joined forces with the Jasper Wolves hockey team, who play at 8 p.m. at the arena this Saturday (Feb. 7).

The Wolves are down one-nothing in a best of three series against Edson, as they head into the second game of the playoffs, so this Saturday’s game is critical.

The Rockhoppers’ goal is to fill the arena with at least 800 fans to cheer on the Wolves and raise some money for Multiple Sclerosis research. 

The Rockhoppers will host the turkey shoot, 50/50 draw, popcorn sales, silent auction and a name the mascot contest. This will also be the final round for the Shoot to Win contest, in which someone could win a new car from Waterloo Ford.

Though fundraising events are underway, it’s not too late to join up.

Last year, the team raised an astounding $72,109.
