Jasperite still missing Print

Devon Moldowan, a 25-year old Manitoban, went missing from Jasper four weeks ago this July 11th, but RCMP remain hopeful that he will return home.

Cpl. Tony Dolhan said there had been several CrimeStoppers tips in regards to his whereabouts, but thus far none have been identified as Moldowan.

“At this point there is not much to go on,” said Dolhan, “we have no idea where he may be.”

Staying optimistic, Cpl. Dolhan said “the case is still open and we’re still wanting to locate and find his whereabouts,” noting that there is about “101 different scenarios that could have taken place.”

“We’re still hopeful that he’s out there,” he added.

Optimism from Moldowan’s family and friends is also evident on a Facebook group started to help find the young man.

Named “Devon Brock Moldowan Missing,” the group has more than 700 members with many pleas for Moldowan to get in touch with his family and friends.

These sentiments echo Larry Moldowan, Devon’s father, who asked his son to “call us” in an interview last week.

New posters have also been set up around town listing phone numbers for Devon to call. The numbers are from friends of Devon.

Jasper RCMP are still urging people to get in contact if they have an information regarding Devon’s whereabouts at 780-852-4421 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
