While most may have been dreaming of sugarplums and lollipops during the Christmas period, others were out driving drunk, disturbing the peace, assaulting police officers, pulling fire alarms and thieving from autos and motorcycles. Oh yes, best of the season to you, Jasper. The local RCMP detachment was kept hopping over the holidays, initiating a grand total of 84 new investigations between the 24th of December and the second day of 2006.

“As you can see by the numbers above, it was a very busy holiday for the RCMP here in Jasper,” Maludzinski wrote.
Small wonder then, that the police have no leads in the case of the disappearing penguin (see above).
On a more serious note, a quick thanks go out to the RCMP officers in Jasper for their hard work over the festive period. |
