Santa is busy finishing up his last-minute preparations for Christmas, but he’s taking the time to answer your letters with the help of Canada Post.
The postal elves are accepting letters to Santa to be sent way, way up north for Mr. Claus to answer.
Mike Krawec, a clerk at the Jasper post office, says it’s time to write out those letters and get them in so they can be sent directly to Santa as soon as possible.
“They do have a ways to go,” he said.
Letters do not require stamps, and can be dropped off at Jasper’s Canada Post location on Patricia Street. They can be written in a variety of different languages and Santa, with the help of his multi-lingual elves, will reply.
The postal elves ask that the cookies and other snacks for Santa be left out of the letters, and instead put out on Christmas day. Santa does, however, love to receive drawings along with his letters. Each year Santa replies to more than a million letters from children all over Canada. This is the 29th year that Canada Post has assisted Santa in getting his letters to the North Pole and back quickly. Make sure that each letter has a return address. Although Santa knows where all Jasper’s children live, it helps the postal elves deliver each letter quickly. Letters can also be emailed.
