Just what does your pooch or kitty want for Christmas? Dec. 4 will be the perfect day to find out during the Hinton SPCA’s annual Paws for Claus event.
The annual fund-raiser is being held at the Parks West Mall, where pets can get their very own photo with none other than Santa Claus himself.
Photos will be taken from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A silent auction will begin at 11 p.m. and run until 4 p.m. A raffle for $1,000 in gift certificates will be done, and food will be available. All the proceeds from the event will go to the Hinton SPCA.
Paws for Claus is the biggest event of the year for the Hinton SPCA. Throughout the year, the SPCA collects bottles and uses funds from animal boarding to pay for vet bills, feed and more for the many animals it houses. In June, they hold the annual Dog Jog for pet owners, which contributes to the upkeep of the SPCA. Private donations also help out.
This is the second year that Paws for Claus has been held at the mall. |
