Over 100 motorcycle riders took part in the Jasper Motorcycle Run on Sept. 18, as the rain clouds cleared away and revealed stunning views of the Rockies.
The riders started the run throughout the day from Connaught Drive and collected a poker hand as they continued along the highway. Stops included Maligne Lake, Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls and Marmot Basin.
First prize for the best poker hand was a Jasper to Vancouver return ticket with Via Rail. The second place winner enjoyed a sample pack of Jasper attractions including rafting and restaurant gift certificates. Third prize was a ski and hotel package.
After the ride there was live music and entertainment all weekend. All proceeds from the event went to benefit the Spinal Cord Injury Treatment Centre Society of Northern Alberta. |
