RCMP send out drawing of suspect in Hinton hotel robbery
RCMP released a sketch last week depicting a person they think was involved in the armed robbery of the Crestwood Hotel on Hwy 16 in Hinton on Sunday, Feb. 8.
A lone male brandishing a handgun handed the hotel’s night clerk a paper bag and a note demanding cash just after 10 p.m. that night.
The suspect reportedly jumped over the counter, followed the clerk to the rear office, took an undisclosed amount of money, then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect, described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6’0” or 180 cm tall, with a slim build, clean-shaven with dark brown hair, was wearing a white Edmonton Oilers baseball cap, a light blue denim coat, blue jeans, and white shoes.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Investigators are asking anyone who may know anything about this case to contact Hinton RCMP at 780-865-2455 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). |
