In a tradition that’s been happening for many years, the Valemount Museum will be running it’s Mothers Day fundraiser this Sunday and will let the ducks swim free in Swift Creek, in George Hicks Park.
Rashmi Narayan, administrator of the museum, said it’s always a good opportunity for the museum to be out in public and celebrate the beginning of the season.
Raffle tickets, which correlate to numbers on the ducks, are available at stores in Valemount and also available on Mothers Day at the Lions Pancake Breakfast.
Tickets can be purchased from Infinity, A Cut Above, Bear Paw Den Quilting and Underwriters Insurance.
The race will commence at 3 p.m. and there will be free hot chocolate as well. |
