Preserve the rhubarb

Re: Save Our Rhubarb

I was the one who bought and planted that rhubarb and placed it in my planter. I have never minded when people help themselves to one or two pieces because I’ve found that people have been careful to cut it cleanly and not damage the plant. I was just as surprised and disappointed as anyone to find the whole plant gone. It’s coming back but I’m not planning on cutting any at all for the season from here on out because I want the plant to get a chance to regrow and become healthy and strong in time for winter so it survives for next year.

Glad you got to enjoy it in moderation while it lasted. Mostly I just wish people would take some quack grass with them when they’re helping themselves to rhubarb. I admit I don’t get to weeding that patch as often as I should.

Do you think the delay in the Glacier Discovery Walk decision means it’s less likely the project will be approved?
